We have just moved house and the shower isn't powerful enough... someone mentioned we need to buy a pump to make it more powerful? Will this work or do we need to buy a new shower?

You need to post what sort of system you have now before we can advise.

Examples are.

Storage system tank in loft cylinder in airing cupboard

Storage system tank on top of cylinder in airing cupboard

Primatic (lets hope we don't have to go there!)

Instantaneous by electric heater

Instantaneous electric heater in shower cubicle

Instantaneous gas multipoint

Instantaneous gas Combination boiler

Anything look likely?

Then you should have good pressure whatever shower you have as long as there are no valves closed off and both the hot and cold come from the mains.

You cannot fit a booster pump to a combi.

Edit as long as you are not trying to run a large "rain" type shower!

Can I piggyback on this topic. We have a combi Worcester boiler currently feeding one shower which is ok, but not the power shower we was used to in our last property. We want to add a second shower room, but are worried if the boiler could cope with both working at the same time.

Any thoughts please?

Sorry but no a combi (unless it is a gigantic one) will not serve two showers at one time.
