Hi,
A customer has a shower mixer tap, where the water is either roasting hot or freezing cold when the shower is used.
I went to have a look at it and it is gravity fed hot and mains cold. I had a look at the installation, no isos and no check valves.
When the shower is on for a period of time, the HW F&E drips, so it looks as though the cylinder is back filling.
My initial thoughts were to instal isos and non-return check valves, but do you think the cold main to the bath will need a pressure reducing valve?
I have never installed one before, if you think it would solve the problem any advice on installation?
Many thanks!!!!!
