Hi all...

I recently bought a new property and the shower that was been installed by the previous owner has not been connected to the consumer unit! I think this is because the consumer unit is slightly old and doesnt have any room for another connection....

do i need a totally new consumer unit or is there another way around this?

Thanks for your help

It may be possible to add an additional consumer unit using henley blocks, though I would advise all DIYers other than the most electrically competent DIYers to have this done by a professional.
Please note, adding a CU and installing an electric shower are both notifiable tasks to LABC under Part P of the building regs.

Sorry, without seeing the job it is impossible to quote. (T'is also against forum rules - slap wrists ;) ).
Best bet is to ask your friends and neighbours for a recomended spark.
