multi meter you can get a basic one from bq. then can you use one ?
do you not have a friend etc that has one and can test it for you ?

you'll need to do a voltage, resistance test.

Alright I've found out what the Multi Meter is - I'm getting out of my depth here we have no plumbing heating experience whatsoever and this isn't something we have or plan on buying. Wondering if we can change the part and if doesn't work return the part - I'll phone the shower people tomorrow. Many thanks.

don't think they'll do that due to you buying the wrong part.

plus if your not diy minded then you may be better to get someone to check and fit it for you.

The next morning after receiving these replies the shower worked and has worked fine since. Yesterday morning it wouldn't come on at all and seems to be broke now. I wondered if before it was simply the pressure and had resolved itself but now I reallise that its probably the shower after all.

Is it worth me paying Triton # 92 to come fix it or for not much more get a new shower, or do you still think its the valve referred to earlier and could be replaced easily enough?

Thanks again

I'd pay up and get it over with - cost far more to replace it and it sounds like you'll end up just putting lots of stress and time in and probably end up ringing them anyway.
