OK , i'm just about to order my shower pump but have been told by my plumber i need a negative head pump as it will be sited in the loft (to reduce noise) . Its £263 though ... an alternative is the screwfix starbuy (£140) and mounting it in the airing cupboard in the bathroom next to the hot water tank and running the pipes under the floor to the shower .

any recommendations ? How loud is the pump going to be ? gentle background hum or WWIII ?

thanks in advance

Derek

They are not obscenely noisey, most other people with shower pumps dont seem to mind that much. I would save some money and put a normal one in
