Had a shower put in a couple of years ago, but the sealant going mouldy and keeps rotting.
Had it redone 6 months ago, but it has gone again.
Decided to do it myself, and it has gone mouldy everywhere it touches the tiles, even on the back of the sealant.
Can i prime the tiles before I apply fresh sealant, as it looks to me like none of it is water tight.
they are stone tiles with ridges and it looks like the mastic isn’t sealing properly.
could I use a different sealant to ensure a good bond, something like stixall?
Or do I just need a better mastic, as I think the ones used were just generic store brought ones
