I have a 9.5kw shower, a small 8 way Hager consumer unit, the distance between the cu and where the shower is going is roughly 12 metres, the cable will be run under the floorboards..
Can you use 6mm twin and earth ? Or do you need to use 10mm ?
Hager only stock 40 or 50 amp MCB's............No 45amp mcb im afraid Is 40 amp not enough ? The contradictory info about shower installs on the net is vast......im reading about split load cu for rcds ? henly blocks and taking out the tails from the meter and all sorts ?
I have an electrician coming to do this, but im a bit weary of his knowledge .... Can a spark tell me what he would do in this situation ?
