shower switch

currently re-wirin a house at work. there was a shower put in approx 18 month ago. the plumber also done the wirin, and put the switch outside the bathroom. the homeowner also says she wants it back outside the bathroom b/c she gets it confused with the light...

I have a problem:

There is nothing wrong in putting the switch outside the bathroom.

You also said the plumber put the switch outside and the HH wants it outside too. This does not make sense.

Did you mean to say the plumber put the switch inside?

at work? if you are doing the rewiring are you insured / qualified to do so?
 
And let's hope that you take more care and pride in your wiring than you do in your writing.
