I am fitting a new shower and will use a 90mm size trap. However I am going to be running 50mm solvent weld waste pipe as the run is about 4m in the floor and then goes outside along the wall for a bit. I think 40mm will be ok, but I've got the 50mm pipe so am using it.

Two questions:

1) can you get a trap which will take the 50mm pipe or do I need to use a reducer intothe 50mm pipe ?

2) Are there any good traps I should be looking at using ? Best service ones etc. Height in the floor is not a problem. Luckily i just run the pipe along side the joists and out the wall. The joist depth is about 270mm, so the fall is going to be ok.
