I am trying to fit a concelaed shower valve. I thought that a standard converter from 22m male thread to 15m compression would be fine, but there is still a leak coming from the valve where the standard male thread is screwed into the female connector on the valve.

Upon reading the installation manual specs it states that I should use a "suitable brass parallel thread male iron and swivel connector". I have called my local plumb shops and none of them stock anything "suitable".

I am in the UK so does anyone know of anywhere that would stock such a thing, or failing that, anywhere else in the world!?

What make of shower valve is it?

Where was it manufactured?

It should not be a problem to get a suitable connector. It must be parallel and not a taper thread which you know.

You need to determine the type of thread it has. Perhaps you could speak to the manufacturer or supplier.

Finally managed to get in touch with the manufacturer and they said it's a standrd 3/4" bsp fitting, so I need to get something to go from that to 15mm compression...
