Side dormer without windows for loft extension?

Looking at my roof, I think the best way to make room for a bedroom would be a side dormer, but due to PD rules on windows (obscured) I was thinking, maybe having a dormer that has no windows, or one with a little forward facing triangle window. Is this generally accepted under PD?

My roof is about 7.6, long, and the dormer will be towards the rear. The idea is that the dormer will provide headroom for a kingsize bed and maybe be over-bed storage + besides. Each side of the dormer we could have clear velux for light.

Read might still be best, but the rear wall is not actually a straight line.

Is this something that could be built without planning permission? Seems OK according to http://www.chelmsford.gov.uk/pd-loftconversion

I have searched Google for images, but found only one - which suggests most people building dormers are doing so with windows. If I had windows, they would have to be obscured and non-opening, which makes me think I'd be better off paying for nice windows in the gables at each end of the room.

If you build a dormer, there is no restriction on windows facing the front or rear.
