Sink in need of a hot water pipe

Hi i've just had a plumber leave who has put the pipes down for the on back toilet downstairs, we have had the floor tiled and down =, now about to install the toilet and sink, and have discovered there is only one pipe for the sink a cold water pipes, i've heard there is a device you can buy which can heat the pipe to give you hot water when you open the tap??

any ideas please or suggestions?

a "plumber" huh! you could get an instantaneous heater or a mini unvented cylinder to fix the hot water problem but first get the "PLUMBER" back again to explain his work
