I used to have a boss exactly like that. He used the same shock tactics, the same abuse and verbal intimidation. He became MD and tried to run the company his way. The Chairman didn't like it.

He's sidelined now, small office where nobody ever goes, pipe and cardigan, waiting for retirement.

Why does Matthew Parris think that Alan Sugar 'doesn’t seem to have an enormous intellect'? Further, why would ANYONE entering the House of Lords require such intellect?
