size of radiator

I'm installing a new radiator in my garage conversion.The room measures 15ftx9ft and 8ft in height.The room will be fully insulated.What size of radiator will i need?.B&q calcs say 3500 btu.Does this sound ok? :rolleyes:

Bit low :cry: My trusty Mears says 4600 with one outside wall(insulated) ;)
 
3500?

Was that a rough guess or did they calculate that properly?

Better to be near 5000 btu as advised above.

What sort of size are we talking? I know you can get single or double rads?

Stelrad compact K2- 1m. long x450mm. high double convector with grille+side panels
