Skip hire prices?

What's a 'reasonable' price for a skip from a skip hire firm, and how do I find a reputable firm who delivers AND collects on time?

I either need a Mini or a Midi - have been quoted £100 for a Mini and £130 for a Midi - sounds a bit steep to me!

Area required is Weston-super-Mare.

Whats going in the skip,? soil, rubble etc can often be cheaper to shift in a grab lorry and you don't have to do any loading.

It's just household rubbish and stuff from the garage (no hazardous waste).

if any of it is metal take it to a scrap metal dealer, you can get about £50.00 pounds worth in the back of a car. take the rest to the rubbish tip.

It seems about right. We have a 6cu yd skip on permanent loan, and I tghink we pay £160 + Vat to empty. Remember land fill tax is significant, although a lot of skip Cos sort the rubbish and therefore keep a lot of your tax!
