decided today that I needed to get a second remote to controll the Sky from the bedroom.. fed up keep leaving the remote in there and having to get up and fetch it..
Since I'm planning to upgrade to sky+ in the next month or so I decided to get a Sky+ remote thinking that it was only the recording buttons that were extra and that the remote would work a regular Sky box fine...
nope... not a bloody chance..
anything in the instructions saying this? no..
anything on the pack saying Sky+ ONLY? no...
after a bit of searching on the web, I found a post on a random tech forum that was a godsend..
so i'll post it here for those who might ever need to know..
[code:1]press the SELECT and YELLOW buttons together for 2 seconds the remote flashes twice.
press 0 then select to set the remote to standard Sky box.
press 1 then select to set the box to Sky+ box..[/code:1]
this information might also be usefull to someone who's remote has stopped working.. they might have accidentaly set it to regular Sky..
