I'm having problems with my shower. Every time it is used... even for only just for a few minutes... I end up with a big pool of water on the floor.

I am quite certain the problem is being caused by the shower base being not quite level. Any water that falls on the outer ledge (not in the actual tray) seems to channel down towards the small gap where the door hinge is. The water then flows through the gap and down onto the floor.

I have had the shower for approx 10 years. The problem came on gradually. I can only assume the base and fixtures have warped over time.

I'm at a loss as to how I can solve this without completely refitting the shower or getting a new one (which I don't have the skills to do myself, and cannot afford to pay to have done).

I cannot seal the gap up because it would prevent the door from opening.

Any suggestions?

There's nothing more annoying Adam!!

I've a couple of suggestions; first, I'd try a wee line of clear silicone at the end of the door seal to beyond the screen, this may direct the water along the tray & stop it coming out the gap. Second, fit a new door seal, carefully cut at the gap to ensure it redirects the water.
