smallest realistic soffit

Hello guys,

What's the thinnest soffit available? I'm building a little one story extension and trying to minimise the size of soffit to keep the overhang to a minimum

Looks crap but if properly done should not affect waterproofing.

Really that's up to you. There are thousands of older houses with little overhang.

If you are trying to reduce the soffit because of a boundary, then the best thing to do is just reduce that elevation and keep the others to a more normal width or matching the main house. It would mean off-setting the hip though

do you need to allow for ventilation in the soffit ??
