its a metal clamp /coupling comes with a rubber seal, you use it to join /seal , the pipe together

i know what you mean! they look ugly as sin.
they are ugly,but the only other option i had was these big rubber sleeves that have jubilee clips, i have never used these timesavers before,but as long as they seal the soil pipe i'll be happyjavascript:emoticon('
