We have had a loft conversion completed and now the soil pipes need to be tested. Apparently they need to be tested to BS EN 12056-2:2000,

The council building regs man says that the system needs to be bunged and pressure tested with all traps on and full of water.

What is entailed in testing the soil pipes?
What is BS EN 12056-2:2000 and can i download a copy?

Any other help would be useful

Many thanks

Iain

Like he said. Air is pumped to a low pressure in the pipe and timed for a leak test, watching a watr U gage

A British Standard, and no, they make you pay a lot.

Yes it's a plumber's job.
