Good Afternoon!

Not sure whether this is a plumbing or building question, advice appreciated.

The previous occupants of our house replaced the top half of a cast iron soil stack with a plastic one, not so bad in itself but for some reason the join between the two has created a dog leg with both halves being at slight angles to each other. It appears to function ok but looks messy and unslightly. Therefore we're planning on getting the whole lot replaced.

Should we be contacting builders/plumbers or drainage experts to do this job?

Likely most plumbers wont be interested in soil stacks, too big, too messy for them & you have to climb up ladders  ; call a builder.
