HI!

When I moved into my first house about a year ago, I asked a plummer how easy it would be to turn my brick out buiding into a utility room. In the outhouse I have a cold water supply and a toilet (we no longer want) wich soil goes into the floor.

He said it would be possible to put some sort of trap to convert the soil into waste so I can put my washing machine and a sink in there.

Does anyone know what sort of trap he means, mainly so I know what i'm talking about when getting some quotes.

Cheers

Your soil should be fine for discharging sink and washing machine waste, once the toilet is removed there are fittings which can be added to adapt the existing soil pipe to take the waste from a sink and washing machine.
You will need a washing machine standpipe with trap included and a standard sink trap.
