Soil Vent Regs

Hi
Looking at the regs, it states that a soil vent, if not more than 3000mm away from an opening, has to be 900mm above etc. If the vent is around the corner from the nearest opening but less than 3000mm, does it still need to be raised and set out around the gutter?

Just spoke to BCO and you DO need to extend to 900 mm above even though the opening is around the corner.
