Solar Heating Question

The Bathroom Boutique ones use solar tubes heating a tank at the top of the panels. But now they are only a plain steel tank with a five year warranty. They sit by gravity on the apex of the roof tied down by straps.

In Israel and Greece thy use a circular tank about 1.4m tall and flat panel absorber leaning at about 45 degrees against the tank. The tank is often raised off the roof to make the gravity circulation better.

To close this thread off, my system has now been serviced. The expansion tank was replaced, the pressure release value was replaced - previously it operated at 2 bar, and is now set at 6 bar. The system has also be refilled and re-pressurised and seems to be working well now!
