So you have a house which is heated by storage heaters in every room. You build a conservatory and install a storage heater in it.where the heating system of the dwelling is not extended into the conservatory or porch
Extending the heating system of the house, treating the conservatory like one of the rooms in the house.
Have you "extended the heating system", or is each storage rad an individual heating system?
If each storage rad has its own on-off/temp controls they are independent systems. If they share control, like temp and on-off, then no. It is not difficult to understand.
Understand that the conservatory needs a system with fully independent on-off and temp control to the main house or any other systems in the dwelling.
A zoned system with independent on-off and temp control gives that.
It is clear what they are about. They do not want heating in the conservatory coming on when the main house heating comes on - or vise-versa.
The regs did not state that the "heating system" needs an independent heat source or heat transfer fluid - its stated three points:
1. Independent
2. Independent on-off control
3. Independent temperature control
You are assuming the regs mention things it does not, like independent heat source.
