When preparing the kitchen floor prior to tiling I found that the floorboard under the sink, against the exterior wall was soft and spongy about a couple of inches in. I have cut the rotten board out, but am wondering if this will be enough to prevent any further rotting, or will I have to take any more action to prevent any more problems. I think that the rot was caused by a dripping joint which I have repaired.
thanks for any advice

Providing the rest of the floorboard is dried then you should be okay.

Providing you're happy it was the dripping joint was the problem then again there's no worry

Thanks that makes me feel better, yes I checked the joists and they were ok. But for peace of mind I painted them with a ronseal anti fungus hardener(it says on the tin) I 'm a belt and braces kind of guy. thanks for the help
