spotlights anyone?

I'll keep it short and sweet. Is it safe to install recessed low voltage halogen spotlights into wood? Or is it a major fire hazard?

Talk to the mfrs. Most I have spoken to say they are OK when downrated to 35W.

BUT: Please do not take my word for this - ask the mfr. And/or check to see if the fitting is F marked - a capital F in an inverted triangle. This means it is suitable for mounting on a combustible surface.
