Has anybody any experience of using Spray Foam to insulate a loft (sprayed onto the roof itself). The manufacturers wax lyrical but I would like some real life examples. I plan to eventually turn the loft into a basic living space but want to get the area warmed up first!

It's a four bed detached house, built in the 1930's. Felt, tiles and rafters replaced about 15 years ago and in good condition.

Thanks
Shaun

DONT !

Sprayed Polyutherane foam encloses (possibly still damp) battens and parts of the Rafters. Thereby preventing air circulation. A classic recipe for wood rot.
