Standard Backplate?

We have a new starter at our firm who has just moved into a delightful flat. The timer on his central heating and hot water doesn't work so he has to get up early to turn it on so he can have a shower etc before coming to work.

His landlady has said she tried to have it fixed but parts are no longer available. Yeah OK.

He has supplied a couple of photos of the timer. A swithmaster 600. Is this a standard backplate, so a straight swap (until the back plate breaks). Or a rewire.

Boiler 6 has pipes out of it. So How Water Out/Return CH Out/Return Gas & Cold In

Not intending to do the work myself but would prefer he can tell his landlady exactly what is required.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks, will let him know.

Is it a standard backplate as spec doesn't mention this (are they are all now?). I remember changing one years ago and literally one screw to remove the old one and push the new one onto the plastic plate on the wall and voila all changed.

Thought I was a heating engineer/plumber/electrician. Then I remembered I hate plumbing. Ham fisted and 17 stone doesn't allow me to fit into the spaces they expect you guys to work in!

Any clue as to if it is a 5-minute swap or 1-hour rewire would be appreciated.

Thanks
Dave
