anyone know how to fix aluminium panel to a steel column?

What sort of aluminium panel? Is its just a plain sheet or something like ACM?

Normally, cladding panels are part of a system, and have proprietary support channels or brackets. And there would be a drained and ventilated cavity.

Or, you would use fixings with a plastic or EPDM spacer. Or timber battens fixed with hilti nails.

This is really something that your plan drawer should properly detail. You have a few things going on there that need thinking about, not just fixing.

I would like to do something like this

On the column would you just put timber batten and insulation,sheathing board and then the plastic or aluminium board

What ur suggesting is for facade cladding i dont need all of that for just a column in between sliding doors

No, what I'm suggesting is how it's done.

Otherwise, just bodge a few tech screws in, or use no nails.
