I am about to take delivery of 2 lengths of Ikea birch wooden worktop, here http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/00123671/
The two lengths willbe in a straight line, not a 90 degree joint as has been discussed here before.
What I'd like to know is, as I'll only need to cut once, to get one bit to the right length, can I just use a fine circular saw and how should i join the 2 ends to each other?
I plan to use ting oil for sealing, as suggested here many times.
Thanks
