Hi guys,

Im new to this site and Im hoping someone will be able to give me some advice.

I bought my first house in October last year and now that the winter is over I want to start decorating the outside. The bricks aroung all the windows have been painted this horrible teal green colour by the old owners, and the job they have done leaves alot to be desired.

I want to remove all the paint that is currently on the brick work as some of it flaking off and I fear just painting over the top would have the same consequences.

Can anyone recommend a product or a procedure I can use to remove all the shabby paint off the walls before I apply a new colour?

Thanks

I would attempt it dry..paint stripper isnt going to work on your bricks..it doesnt shift emulsion based paint very easy.

The only sure fire method will be grit blasting..could be exensive, if you can actually get anyone to do it that is.
