The radiator in my bedroom has stopped heating up. It was fine last winter, but when I removed the thermostatic control section the other day it became clear the pin was fully pushed in and stuck. Does this valve require a replacement or can it be salvaged? My first instinct is to reach for my mole grips but I don't want to unwisely force anything.

soak pin in wd40, give it half an hour, tap all round the valve body with the handle of a screwdriver let it pop up itself

failing that get the moleys intae it!!!!

A squirt of WD40 and some gentle cajoling seems to have worked a treat. Cheers for the advice chaps.
