I am installing a power shower. I am planning to run 22mm pipes up to loft from a Stuart Turner Monsoon positive twin pump and then drop them down to the shower thru a stud wall cavity. I have 200mm from bottom of cold tank to top of the highest pipework. The literature says this is sufficient for a positive pump.
My question is do I need a much more powerful pump than if I had a greater head than 200mm? There are graphs on the Stuart Turner site but I just don't understand them. They suggest to me that the greater head you have the less flow will be achieved. EG looking at the performance curves, a 2.5bar pump will achieve 20l/min flow with 20 metre head and 46l/min flow with 5 metre head?
see performance data herehttp://www.stuart-turner.co.uk/defa...ted, ie 1.5, 2.5 or 3.5 bar pump best suited.
