Just replacing an existing glassfibre shower tray which had developed a crack, and leaked.

The support was the five legs provided, i.e. each corner and one in the middle. Is there a benefit if I provide more support under the 'U' shapes piece of wood to prevent future cracking? I am over 15 stone wondered if that was the reason>

Many prefer a tray without legs bedded in a weak cement mortar mix. for access to the waste etc, the tray is set on an 18 or 25mm ply platform raised on, say, 4X2s.

I had a glass fibre tray and the best thing I did was scrap it! :D

Buy yourself a nice stone tray that will not leak .
