Aha.....but water would show too and there is no water showing!

It's a puzzler.......I am beginning to think i should get the boiler and cylinder tested again in cas e plumber 1 was wrong or just said that he had tested it!........I cannot beleive that any tanking is that good!

when you said you tried to do a grav system but was sucking in air that will be where the leak is. why didnt you put the pump of the flow as close to the boiler as possible. that would stop the air, its a shame we dont have mini cams as you could have let the suck in to trace the leak.. anyways try the pump of flow pipe stop the air and to hell with the leak.

we had a pressurised system and then changed to a gravity system in the hope that that would solve the problem and to hell with the leak.....but that caused a lot of air to be sucked in.

I do not understand what you meant in your last post though. I understand that you say by moving the pump to a location beside the boiler this would get rid of the air problem. but taht is all i understood. Despite having had more than 6 visits from plumbers, you are the first perso to make this suggestion. I am now worrying that the plumbers i am using may not be up to the mark!
