Hi,

I have an old superswitch timer light switch and would like use it to switch three CFL GU10 Lamps. The switch says "TUNGSTEN LIGHTING ONLY" Does this mean that there is no way i can use it for CFL Lamps?

Also there is no neutral on the back of the switch (only load, live & 2way) so i asume there is no need for one at the switch?

Thanks

They need a minimum of 40w load to work properly I recall .
They have no neutral so rely on the load to function properly.

You can use it to switch CFLs as long as it is also switching at least one tungsten lamp.

You can not use it to switch an entirely CFL load.

Thats that out of the window then.... anything you can get that will do just CFL?

Basically avoid anything which doesn't require a neutral - if it says it can replace a standard light switch it probably won't work.

And if you don't have a neutral at the switch position you'll need to recable.
