Thinking of buying a property next to a waterway. The present owners say that the basement has been tanked, and there is no visible sign of dampness on the walls. But a strong musty smell.
The basement (open to garden at rear) is a fairly major part of the accommodation.
What do you think?
Worth getting tested by surveyor...or what?
