Testing TVR's

Recently move house, have mixture of TVR's, no two the same, no idea how old they are some look new, others very old. Is there any way to test them? Some appear to work but would be good to know for sure.

Turn them off, run the system until pipes get warm then gradually open them up to feel if hot water is flowing through them?

As above, or just run heating to establish if they all get hot, then turn them off to ensure they go off (would take approx 30 minutes).

Me also, as a teenager we used to go ice skating in Murrayfield and there was a TVR dealer there, we always looked through the showroom windows at them and we all said one day we will have one
