Hi all, I know there have been a couple of questions about setting up the ComIP module, but my problem is slightly different.
I have installed a Premier Elite 48 and attached a ComIP module to Com Port 1. When the Control Panel is powered up and after the initial BIT test I get 2 steady green lights on the ComIP module which the manual assures me means it is offline.
I have run a network cable from the Control Panel to a Switch which is then connected to the router and plugged both ends in, however I don't get any lights on the ComIP module's RJ45 connection (which again means no link).
The trouble is I've tested the cable connection a number of times and the cable is AOK, I've changed where the cable is plugged into the switch to sockets I know work but still no lights, and I've changed to Com Port 2 on the Control Panel but nothing. I've set up the Com Ports on the control panel and set the IP address etc.
Am I missing something? It doesn't need to be a crossover cable (something which I don't know anything about) does it?
Any help appreciated!
