I’ve just removed a texecom LCDP keypad and replaced it with a LCDLP.

I powered off the system and removed the battery before starting

I swapped the wires like for like and the position of the 4 switches has been replicated but now I’ve powered up the system there’s no display on the new keypad and the buttons do not respond. There is a flashing light on the circuit board so it must be getting some power.

Does anyone know if there are settings that I need to change, or something I’ve missed?

Panic over

Turns out that Evan at the age of 46 I can’t tell the difference between 5 and 6

There’s an additional connection for speaker on the LCDLP and if miscounted so the network wires were in the wrong place.

It’s easy done,

Keypad should power up if hard wired with just power to it although it will display the keypads address, version and how the two zones on the back are programmed.

T and R get coms running with meaningful data
