I'm really hoping someone can help with my problem. I've had my system for sometime now and it has worked perfectly for several years. The problem I am having is with the odyssey3 bell box. I thought the original was faulty as sometime ago it went into alarm and would not silence. I ended up going out and disconnecting a lead on the siren to silence it. The strange thing is, it reset and silenced in the house but not outside and I've been using it nightly to secure the house and garage. Alarms still register on the panel and sound the internal sounder but obviously not the outside panel.

So I bought a new oddyssey3 and tried to install it today....same problem. It alarms when I apply power to the sounder, silences in the house and the panel shows no problem but the outside sounder continues to sound. I checked all the wiring from the panel to outside box and it is fine. I even wired a new length of cable to the box in case I had unseen damage to the original cable but the same thing happens.

Any idea what the issue could be? I can still use the system normally just don't have the outside sounder working.

Bell output set at scb, not sab ....get multimeter set at dc what do you get across bell and 12v + ?

Thank you. That was the problem. I have no idea how that option was changed but all is good now.
