the Rwanda plan Mk2

Here's a random thought, what are the countries these folk are fleeing from doing to stop their citizens wanting to leave?
Here's another random thought...

Most of those fleeing are doing so because of the historical colonialism and exploitation by the west...

Not to mention the illegal wars and artificial borders often imposed by western nations...

So given the inevitable poverty and unrest that occurs, the question is not 'what are they doing'...

It's how can they be expected to be able to afford preventing it happening!

Unless things are drastically changed, this is only going to get worse until we hit the tipping point....

And then all hell will be let loose!

Dry up.

These countries need to start taking more self responsibility for what's happening within their borders present day. Whilst not disagreeing re things that occurred decades/centuries ago, it can't keep on being rolled out as an excuse for these countries today.

Why are the leaders of these countries not embarrassed by the fact their citizens want to flee? And to the west of all places.

Do you think Assad in Syria is embarrassed?
6.7 million have left Syria

And then there’s Yemen, Eritrea, Iran, Iraq

What is your solution other than saying “it’s not good enough, nobody is sorting it out”

One example. People flee Afghanistan because of persecution at the hands on the Taliban. Your answer is that the Taliban should change their ways then?

That ain't gonna happen.

I said this ...

Why are the leaders of these countries not embarrassed

Does that not answer your question?

Assad bombs his own people

Do you think he is embarrassed?

Do you think asking “why are they not embarrassed” is helpful in any way?

Waffle waffle waffle, deflection deflection deflection.

Meanwhile the boats keep coming and 5 more lost their life today including a little girl.

We need to start doing something instead of nothing, the latter of which is increasingly the way these days.

Notch is happy that they keep trying and keep dying when coming from an already safe country. According to him, it’s their 'uman right to do so. The blame for the deaths of those in the channel that we have tried to stop coming over should sit firmly on the shoulders of Notch and his ilk.

The Government should have dealt with it a long time ago. That's where the blame lies.

What do you suggest? They tried. They keep trying. People like Notch kept taking them to court and dragging the process out. Meanwhile, people keep drowning.

What do you suggest?
More safe routes for one.

Offshore processing for two. France offered to help with this but we turned them down.

Processing people who are here much faster. Years to come to a decision is ludicrous.

they arent trying

the Rwanda scheme was never designed to actually solve any problem

it was set up for one reason only: when it inevitably failed the Conservative government could stand up and point at the lawyers and courts and say "oh look we had a solution and those lefty lawyers have stopped it"

and guess what, fickos like Mottie fall for it so easily

seriously Mottie do you have any original though in your head?
