Our Vaillant Combi Boiler has recently packed up - it is 'past it's sell by date' (Approx 20 years).

We went on EBay and bought a ThermoCOMPACT 628E thinking it was a Combi Boiler; We now realise that we need an additional part (Storage Cylinder) to enable us to have hot water.

1) What is the correct Storage Cylinder for this boiler?

2) Will it be easy to attach?

3) Can I presume it will not provide continuous hot water?

Any help will be greatly appreciated - we are freezing!

The ThermoCompact is a system boiler designed to work in conjunction with any cylinder, however, the boiler is obsolete and does not comply with building regs ie no one will install it (unless your property has very unusual circumstances).

What Vaillant combi do you have? Model number is often under combustion chamber front edge....some parts are stlill available and they are of better quality than todays boilers. Otherwise new combi time.
