Thermostatic bar mixer

Would a bar mixer designed for use on a combi system only but fit to an open vent system work with a booster pump or should it be scrapped and an appropriate mixer installed in it's place. My own thoughts are that in theory it would work but would appreciate any advice.

Should be OK with pumped supplies, but critical thing is will initial unpumped flow be sufficient to trigger flow switch.

Thanks Chris...hadn't really thought of that. As initial flow through the mixer at the moment is just about zilch it would probably be better to change the whole thing.
