Just moved into a new house and trying to commission a system with a Grundfoss pump, various honeywell mzv's and a scary old thorn m80/100 ;)

Set the thermostat to 0 as per the instructions, put the hot water demand on boost, then turned the gas on then primed and ignited and could see the pilot light come on in the right hand chamber.

Waited for a bit and the pilot light burning happily (blue).

Turned the thermostat on the thorn up to about 3 and after a few seconds big yellow flash and woompf in the left hand chamber and pilot light and everything now not burning.

Turn gas back off quickly as slight niff....

Any ideas?

Ta.

The thorn pilots have a two prong flame. Sometime only one of the bits lights thus causing woomph when boiler lights. Once it Is lit properly nothing to worry about

Brill, all cooking now... well, the radiators are ;)

Thanks.
