Hi guys

I posted a few days ago about a lead stop cock and my intention to change it, but it seems just to be from the gland nut and i want to undo this and ptfe it.

Im assuming I will shut off the stopcock outside of the house, do I need to drain the cold water system aswell?

Cheers

if your just working on the small gland nut you can work on them live.
if your removing the whole spindle etc you'll have to shut the outside and their will be water left in any vertical pipes going upstairs so just open the kitchen cold tap. and place a towel under the stopcock when undoing.
