Hi
The tiles on my roof terrace are getting old, grazed and pitted. The grouting is broken up, blackened and mossy and the tiles are looking a little uneven. They are a sort of satin finished cream coloured 6"x 6" clay tile.
There are some (new) water marks on the ceiling in the room below
I think the flat roof is timber and felt under the tiles. There is a gully which is part leaded and part felt and the felt has decayed.
I assume I will need a proper roofer to check the integrity of the roof, replacing whatever is needed, and also to fully fit the gully with lead - can anyone advise me on what to ask for please? and how to pick the best trades-person for the job?
Also, I wonder if once that is done, I could try to tile it myself. I'm not even sure what the best tile is to use outside.
Any advice would be very much appreciated.
