Hi - I'm having a tiler lay floor tiles in an upstairs bathroom. There is already a layer of chipboard (waterproof type)on the floor and on top of that a carpenter has laid plywood (can't remember how thick) He has done a neat job screwing it down well.
My tiler has quoted £72 to supply and fit Durabase.
He has also quoted £172 to lay the tiles we have supplied.
I have seen a few comments about 'Durabase' and was hoping someone could say whether this will be solid enough - The previous tiles were solid enough over a 10 year period but I can't remember what the previous tiler used to secure the tiles.
Thanks...
