Dear All
I'm in the process of tiling the floor in our new extension using porcelain tiles. The new hallway has a screed floor and where the floor meets the external wall and doorframe there is about an inch/ inch and a half of kingspan foam insulation.
My question is how far should I tile up to - to the edge of the kingpspan or just over? Obviously the adhesive wouldn't stick to the foam and both would leave a gap with kingspan showing - I'm hoping to cover this with a PVCu edging strip to match the door frame. Has anyone else had this problem and has anyone got any solutions?
I hope this all makes sense. Any advice gratefully received.
Regards
Matthew
